After struggling to find her place in the arts, Hannah has turned to expressing herself through the abstract. Letting go from what she thought her art had to look like, she began exploring a wide range of materials such as painting with body and found object. Hannah explores the reaches of femininity and ‘matron’ in her works, mostly composing women with an elegiac nature. She seeks to evoke discomfort from her viewers, often making the pieces make direct eye-contact with those who look. By using the body such as hands and feet to create art, or making art that seems to look back, it allows people to engage with a personal reflection of the artist herself.
